ebloggy’s been down a while, and i wonder if it’ll be back. hmm. i think most blogging sites don’t have such long downtimes without at least some news about what has happened, etc. considering a move… but i’m quite annoyed with wordpress. call me stupid, but i thought that being able to edit your own fonts/font size is like one of the most basic things ever? it seems that wordpress.com, the free version at least, is for people who just want to write without ever EVER having to get their hands dirty on html. i’m no html expert myself, but not being able to customise such basic things….sheesh. it doesn’t even feel like MY post without my beloved century gothic! and yet pay for blogging?? what a foreign concept…i might as well hop onto blogspot, etc. what a pity, cos i doubt 3rdaugust will be available on blogspot, and i really can’t think of anything else…haha. and some of the wordpress functions are pretty cool…which is what tempted me on here in the first place.
since the ebloggy site says “account suspended”, i doubt that all the content has been lost, but in any case thank goodness my last backup was done at the end of april, so i’ll only lose a couple of entries at worst.
anyway, i’ve been wanting to blog for the last couple of days.
been missing my kittens… miss the way they rub against my legs, miss boy’s meowing when i bring him meals, miss the way cotton was just shyly starting to open up, both kittens’ crazy antics with their beloved ping-pong balls…etc. so i msged the cat welfare lady again to ask if there’s anything else i can do apart from fostering. so i’m now on cat transport duty…will bring them to the vet for sterilisation.
also, my slacker ad-hoc jobs have picked up…am doing RA duty for a prof in the hope that this will gain me brownie points when i start looking for internship next sem and jobs in the future. anyway it’s mostly done at home and researching is an okay job. just that, as usual, i procrastinate and take forever to get started…eg i’m supposed to already be doing the work, but here i am messing around with wordpress, etc. been visiting foodcourts for the mystery shopper job too…quite boring, but they’ll be tacking donut factory onto this job and hopefully dian xiao er. yum!
oh!! fantastic news…i got my beloved hall 13 64-6-1286S back!!! what luck…the jcrc is super nice. ok lah, of course they’re nice cos they helped me get my single room back (along with friendly neighbours) even though i missed the cut-off by so much (stupid HAS..). yay…happy!! staying in hall during sem 1 is absolutely the best…after august and september the weather is lovely and with nice neighbours around and a stable internet connection i don’t feel like going home anymore.
time to get cracking on the research.
